HonCC will be conducting an Emergency Exercise on Thursday, October 12th, which will include an Active Threat scenario and SIMULATED gunfire.
The safety of HonCC students, faculty and staff is of the utmost importance and every element of this exercise will be designed to help ensure that no one is adversely affected. As an added precaution, the College’s Mental Health Counselor from the Wellness Center from will be available to assist anyone who experiences a high level of anxiety from this event.
During this exercise, UH Alerts will be sent out to all students who have signed up to receive them. If you currently do not receive UH Alerts you may sign up to do so using the link above.
In the weeks leading up to this exercise, there will be several emails and presentations that give guidance on how to respond in a real Active Threat situation as well as guidance for the exercise itself. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the HonCC Safety and Security Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org or 808-845-9459.
