The Ho20170224_111048.jpgnCC Faculty and Staff pride themselves on bringing the “real world” into the classroom via guest speakers.

The Fashion Technology (FT) students were provided with such an experience when Jules Bly, a wedding dress designer from New Zealand, visited the program.

Bly, who completed the London-based Druleigh diploma at the New Zealand College of Fashion Design, launched her business in 1989. She is known for creating individually cut, hand crafted dresses.20170224_110700.jpg

In addition showing the students dresses from her silk collection, Bly also shared a beautiful, hand-painted wedding dress that had a beaded tassel on the back.

Bly stopped off in Honolulu while enroute to London where she will be showcasing her collection.
