Congratulations to the Honolulu CC Design Center and the Office of Communications & External Affairs for being recognized in the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) District 6 Medallion Awards.
Honolulu CC received a Gold award in the Interior Signage category for the Building 7 wayfinding floor signage for the elevator lobby and stairwell; a Silver award in the Interior Signage category for the Building 7 Recharge Station; and Bronze for the Honolulu Community College Website redesign.
“It was such a wonderful surprise to win Gold, Silver and Bronze for three very meaningful projects that positively impacts our college environment and our online presence to the world,” shares Billie Lueder, Director of Communications & External Affairs. “The talented team led by Glenn Matsumoto of the Design Center includes June Chinen, duplicating operations; Jason Oshiro and Romolo Valencia, publication and media specialists; and information technology specialist, Todd Kobayashi. The team continuously exceeds expectations with their innovative, unique and memorable work that they produce on behalf of the college.”
The NCMPR District 6 Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges in District 6. It’s the only regional competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and PR professionals at two-year colleges.
Forty-seven institutions from District 6 (Arizona, California, Hawai’i, Nevada, Utah, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, Republic of the Marshall Islands and Territory of Guam) submitted over 340 entries to the District’s annual Medallion competition, making this year most competitive.
The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. NCMPR has more than 1,550 members from more than 650 colleges across the United States, Canada and other countries.
