A few weeks ago geography instructor John DeLay took State Senators Mike Gabbard and Kristin Kidani to visit the Natural Area Reserve at the summit of Mt. Ka’ala to witness the work that the Ke Ana Waiʻōpua Project in action.

With the assistance from Forestry and Wildlife personnel the Senators learned about the natural resources at the site and the relevance of the climate research that is being done, with respect to water resources and native biodiversity.
