The Welding Technology program at Honolulu Community College. This program is designed to meet the minimum skill standards established by the American Welding Society (AWS) for entry level welders. Training is given in both theory and practical skills in the various phases of welding, cutting and fusing metals, and interpreting blueprints and sketches. This includes: arc welding, plasma and carbon arc cutting, oxyacetylene welding, TIG welding, MIG welding, gasmetal and flux core arcwelding, welding inspecting testing principles and fabrication techniques.
